The Moroccan bath, or hammam maghribi, is a traditional cleansing and relaxation ritual deeply rooted in Moroccan culture. It takes place in a warm steam room, where the body sweats to open the pores. The skin is then covered with natural black soap (beldi soap) made from olives, followed by vigorous exfoliation using a special glove called a kessa. After rinsing with warm water, the experience often ends with a massage using natural oils like argan oil. The Moroccan bath helps remove toxins and dead skin, improves blood circulation, and leaves the skin soft, smooth, and refreshed. |
